I don’t typically write about every magic appearance on television but Justin Willman’s recent performance on “The Tonight Show” is notable in a couple of ways. First, Willman offered an excellent and entertaining performance. Host Jay Leno is well known for disliking magic. Despite this, Willman landed a spot in the line-up and definitely delivered.
Second, Willman demonstrated that magic is all about entertainment and personality and not about methods. He performed a couple of well known effects with a very open and gracious Hugh Jackman. Willman not only understood who he was working with and how the effect would play, but he made it fun.
Willman demonstrates to all that magic is not about the moves or the props. It’s all about entertaining the crowd.
